Anika Carpenter is a flash fiction author and workshop facilitator based in Brighton, UK. Her work has been published in numerous flash fiction anthologies, and shortlisted for the Bath Flash Fiction Award and the Bridport Prize. You can find her stories in Ellipsis Zine, Gone Lawn, The Molotov Cocktail, Janus Literary, and many more.
Anika has devised and run a variety of inspiring and playful events, from creative speed dating sessions for artists and poets, to drawing & writing games hosted in a disused swimming pool and an orchard-based creative retreat for writers, dancers, filmmakers and musicians. She is currently a rep for Writers' HQ and running her own online workshops out of The Flash Cabin.
Anika holds a Fine Art MA (distinction) with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and an Advanced Diploma in the Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Arts from IATE, London. She spent two years studying poetry at City Lit, London and ten years working as an assistant to internationally renowned artists.
